Who I Am
I'm a retired IT professional with 37 years of experience across software engineering, systems programming, project leadership, and executive roles. After stepping away from the industry in 2023, I began rebuilding my technical foundation through coursework at Broward College. These courses have provided a solid, introductory base in modern development practices—C++, C#, web technologies, and Git/GitHub workflows—and have helped me reconnect with hands-on engineering after years in leadership.
What Drives Me
I value clarity, accessibility, and long-term maintainability in both code and instruction. My background in systems thinking shapes how I approach learning: breaking down concepts, understanding how they fit together, and building them back up in a way that is practical and teachable. I'm motivated by helping others grow, especially students who are just beginning their technical journey.
Where I'm Headed
I'm currently in an intentional rebuilding phase—strengthening my skills, developing teaching-ready artifacts, and preparing for my next professional chapter. My primary goal is to contribute as an adjunct professor at Broward College, where I can blend industry experience with accessible instruction. I'm also open to the right entry-level software engineering opportunity as I continue deepening my expertise. This portfolio reflects the work I'm actively building and the direction I'm committed to pursuing.
